What do we do at Eastern Slopes?
Cycling fitness is more than just riding
your bike. At Eastern Slopes our goal is to provide the environment,
the tools and the knowledge to enable your entire potential to
be realized for competitive pursuit on the bike. But wait! There's
more! Your entire systems's health and your overall fitness potential
transfers to the bike and in tandem to everyday life. Therefore
we will also increase your functional strength and conditioning
on and off the bike. A central feature to our cycling training
program is the use of functional strength development to facilitate
performance on the bike and to advance everyday functional capacity
and fitness.
Who are we at Eastern Slopes?
The Eastern Slopes training team are
athlete's and competitors, certified coaches, parent's, students,
and yes even business leader's and everything in between.
Jeff Bell
Jeff is the founder and designer of the
Eastern Slopes Training program. A competitive cyclist for over
20 years. An NCCP certified coach and CrossFit certified.
Sonia Mulley
Sonia is the founder and creator of the
FitX brand a strength training program that has produced outstanding
reults. A Crossfit certified competitive strength and conditioning
coach Sonia is dedicated and convicted to improving the physical
well being of anybody with the desire and willingness to achieve.
Don Huber
Don has been riding and competitng on
his bike for a great deal of human cycling history...which happens
to include 25 plus year's of his own time.

Registration 2011 - 2012
Registration for the 2011/2012 Power @ the Pedal winter session
is open now. The October - January Aerobic Conditioning sessions
begin Friday October 28, 2011 for 12 weeks in single or multiple
weekly sessions. The option to increase the number of weekly sessions
to 3 per week or to attend one weekly session and follow the remaining
training program at home with your own stationary trainer is available.
Details of the Aerobic Base training program options using the
Computrainer lab at Eastern Slopes is detailed in the following

Power @ the Pedal (Aerobic Base Phase 1)
The transitional Phase between October
and December for most competitive cyclists is also an important
period for base building. For recreational cyclists the base building
stage incorporates some important development that will lay the
foundation for great improvement in fitness and performance in the
Spring and Summer. The Power at the Pedal program begins in early
October with aerobic base building training. During this phase the
Power @ the Pedal Computrainer program will focus on the critical
foundation developement for the 2011 season. This period will also
incorporate specific strength and conditioning routines utilzing
the functional strength training principles and core routines developed
by Eastern Slopes and FitX to develop a more stable and supportive
core and
